How Space Changes with Light
I have noticed that the autumn light looks very pretty when you are walking along, or in the car but when you come to take photographs it can be quite difficult. The sun is low and catching the lens, and the shadows are very hard and much more noticeable, not always the result you desired.
Below I have two sets of pictures, one interior and one exterior, to show different lights. The first pictures it is dark outside and the artificial lighting isnt casting many shadows from the chair, and the window is black. In the second picture the window is very bright, highlighting the chair and casting shadows on the floor and wall. Also the floor colour is altered considerably and wall tones are lighter.
Inside Space
Exterior Space
Here with the exterior space, the barn has the sun shining brightly on it in the first picture and not so in the second, the second picture is showing a more solid black colour. The grasses show more definition in the first picture, the second looking a little flat. There is also a shadow cast from the trees on the first picture and roof is looking lighter in colour. The door surrounds also are showing more brightly, giving a definite outline. Shadows are also cast on the concrete.
